Condolence From: Beth (Baker) Royal
Condolence: Jill and Lisa,

Please accept my sincere sympathy in the passing of your sweet mother. I have known her for many years. Your brother, Derek, was a dear friend of mine. I always admired your mom for the grace and dignity with which she lived her life, especially in the face losing Derek.

My father, Elliott Baker, was always fond of your mother and spoke very highly of her. The last time I saw your mother was at my father's funeral.

God bless you in this time of sorrow.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I enjoyed getting to know Linda when I worked with probation. She was always very friendly and kind. Unfortunately my father passed away with Pulmonary Fibrosis also. This is such a terrible disease. My father and your mother are no longer suffering with trying to breath. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Condolence: As a Probation Officer working in the Courthouse, I knew Linda for 20 years...she was one of the finest ladies I ever had the pleasure of working with. Linda spent countless hours helping inmates and defendants who had no resources, arranging bonds and finding defense attorneys for them, She always treated everyone equally and was respected by Judges, Attorneys, and all professionals who came into contact with her. She was a friend of many Probation Officers, and would often share birthday parties and special events with us....I am sorry I was unable to be there to pay my last respects to this very exceptional lady!

Condolence: Lisa and Jill: I was very saddened to learn of the passing of your mother. She was such sweet lady who devoted her life to helping others. I will always have fond memories of her. When I was a senior in high school, your mother gave me my first part time job as a secretary at the Chamber of Commerce and went on to help me get my first full time job at Reinhardt College. She was always so full of life and so proud of her beautiful family. I pray that you will be comforted by the wonderful memories of your mother.

Condolence: Jill,
I am so sorry I can't make it to the service. You and your sister are in my thoughts. You are one of the kindest and funniest people I know. Be strong and know that many, MANY people love you.

Condolence: I have read the article in the Tribune about Linda. She was one of the best people in Cherokee County. She treated everyone the same...poor and wealthy alike.
There is one thing that was not mentioned and I think it should be....that is the time that Linda spent teaching uneducated adults how to read.
If we all were like Linda, the world would definitely be a better place.
I have lost a great friend.
