Condolence: To the McDonald Family,

I want to express my sincerest sympathy. I didn't work directly with Jim, but in the same building. He was a nice man, had a terrific attitude, was a true professional and a patriot. Those are rare traits these days and I want you to know how much he will be missed.

Condolence: I'll always remember Jim's 50th birthday party in that beat up motel in Charleston, SC in the dark in the aftermath of Hurricane Hugo. I 'm not sure he ever forgave me for talking him into volunteering for that for the "adventure" of it. What a miserable month we spent there!

Condolence: Karen & Family,

I considered it a privilege to have experienced a friendship with Jim over the past 20+ years. We had some special times together. He was a good man and had become a devout Godly man which I admired greatly. I will always remember him.

You are in my prayers.

Condolence: Karen,
I am so sad today yet filled with joy as I realize Jim is with His Heavenly Father rejoicing now. Jim was a true friend to me - he was the first person I met when I went to work for Ma Bell in 1975. He taught me how to be an "engineer" with the company for many years, but words cannot adequately explain all that he taught me after I left the Marietta Engineering District. He lifted my spirits when I was down, he prayed for me and my family, he comforted me when my son was training in the Navy, he reminded me to grow my faith in the Lord. I hate that my husband and I didn't get our visit in with him before he departed this world, but I know his health didn't allow it. Please know that my prayers are for you and his children this day. May you feel the Lord's comfort during the days, weeks, and months that lie ahead.
