Wayne Tippens

Wayne Tippens, age 61, of Jasper, GA, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026, at his residence. Wayne was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a member of E. W. Hightower Masonic Lodge #679, Marble Hill Masonic Lodge #207, and the Order of the Eastern, Marble Hill Star #448.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home, with Rev. Bryan Prance, Rev. Bobby McFarland, and Rev. Jeff Garland officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in the Clayton Community.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, August 7, 2026, and from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2026, and from 11:00 AM till the Funeral Hour on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother: Melvin and Martha Tippens; Grandparents: Ozias and Flora Tippens; Grandparents: Hubert and Inez Gay; and Father-In-Law: J. I. Reece

Wife - Dana Tippens

Daughter - Jennifer Waldroup (Bo)

Son - Joshua Tippens (Abby)

Grandchildren - Lillian Tippens, Jackson Willingham, Lukas Tippens, and Levi Tippens

Sister-in-law & Brother-in-law - Tammy Chester (Kenneth)

Mother-in-law - Clara Reece

Niece - Kirsten Chester

Great-nephew - Lane Chester
