Thomas S. Klingman

Thomas Stanley Klingman, Jr., age 70, of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2023.

Tom was born June 5, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Thomas Stanley Klingman, Sr. and Louise Giarraputo Klingman. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Denise Piatt Klingman; son, Andrew (Laura) Klingman; daughter, Jennifer (Chris) Atkins; and grandsons, Chris Klingman, Chase Klingman, Brayden Klingman, Jaxson Klingman, and Liam Atkins.

Tom graduated from Pace University. He worked at United Parcel Service for 40 years as a tax accountant where he also served as a corporate liaison to a number of key industry associations and was recognized for his advocacy and leadership. Tom also served others as an active member of the Catholic church as well as volunteering through other organizations within the communities where he lived in Connecticut and Georgia. He enjoyed spending time with his wife just doing the little day to day things in life; even just sitting on the porch listening to music. He loved to get together with his kids and grandkids to be able to take part in activities from throwing the baseball around to playing with cars and trains. Tom was a lifelong coin collector and while he was an avid baseball and basketball fan, he also loved to bowl. His love and laughter will be sorely missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday, October 20th at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Kennesaw, GA with Father Duvan Gonzalez officiating. The family will receive friends from 11am-1pm Thursday, October 19th at South Canton Funeral in Canton, GA.
