Shirley Ann Norton

Shirley Ann Allen Norton passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Green Park Senior Care Home in Kennesaw GA. Shirley was born on February 9, 1938 in Canton GA. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Harold Norton, and her parents Mattie and Cecil Allen.

She is survived by her daughter Chris Aenchbacher (Hugh) of Canton, grandchildren Ben Aenchbacher (Crystal) of Fairhope AL, Sarah Ingram (Ross) of Canton GA and great grandchildren Emma, Sadie, Tate and Shelbie. She is also survived by her sister Frances Ruiz of Birmingham AL and her cousin (like a sister) Oredith Evans of Marietta GA. Special nieces and nephews also survive.

Shirley grew up in the mill village and was a member of North Canton Baptist Church. She worked for the Cobb Chamber of Commerce for 40 years. Many of those years were as the Executive Secretary until she stepped down to a part time position to be able to help take care of her grandchildren.

Visitation will be at South Canton Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 11 from 4-7 PM and on Thursday, December 12, one hour prior to the funeral.

Funeral Services will be held at South Canton Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Kent Samples on Thursday, December 12 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park.

The family wishes to thank Capstone Hospice and Green Park Senior Care Home (Kennesaw), who took excellent care of Shirley.
