Peggy Gentry

Peggy Gentry, age 81, of Canton, GA, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at her residence. She loved sewing, bowling, and her grandkids and great-grandkids. Peggy loved to play games. She retired from Cherokee County School after many years.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, and from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 8, 2026, at South Canton Funeral Home.

A burial in the Georgia National Cemetery will be held at a later date.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Louise Wilder, and her Brother, James Wilder

Survivors include:

Husband - Jerry Gentry

Son - Michael Gentry

Daughter - Brenda Gentry

Daughter - Jona Gentry

Sister - Pam Dunn and husband Clark

Sister - Pat Tucker and husband Larry

Grandchildren - Jennifer Wright, Jorge (Lindsey) Addams, and Allie Reed

Great Grandchildren - Kelce, Wade, and Jacob
