Michael Allen Brubaker, of Canton, GA, was called home to be with his Lord on March 12. Born in Catonsville, Maryland, to J. Paul and Balbina B. Brubaker, he dedicated his life to faith, family, and service.
While studying at Westminster College, Michael met his wife, Martha “Marti” Ellen Cousins, on a train home for Thanksgiving. They married in 1969 and built a life of love and commitment.
Michael earned degrees in Social Work and Theology from the University of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary before becoming an ordained Presbyterian minister. He spent his career at George Junior Republic in Grove City, PA, where he viewed his work as a calling and a ministry. A longtime member of East Main Presbyterian Church, he and Marti moved to Canton, GA, in 2010 to be near their daughter and grandchildren.
A Graveside Service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from the Milton Fields Cemetery with Phill Bettis officiating.
Michael is survived by his wife, Marti; brothers John (late wife Mary) and David (Donna); sister Paula (Joe); son Andrew; daughter Allison (Cleve) and grandchildren Ben and Olivia; and son Nathan (Pamela) and granddaughter Luna.
“Well done, good and faithful servant: enter into your rest.” (Matthew 25:23)
