COURTESY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ROPER FUNERAL HOME Mary Alice Goodwin, age 93 of Canton, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Wildwood Health Care. Mary was born February 3, 1926 to Ezel and Elvy Morgan. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Kathy Goodwin of Jasper, Larry and Joyce Goodwin of Dawsonville; sisters, Beatrice Goodwin of Fairmount, Christine Blankenship of Hickory Flat; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Goodwin; daughter, Martha Pruitt; and great-grandson, Ethan Goodwin. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby McFarland and Reverend Nathan Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends at South Canton Funeral Home, Friday, September 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
