Kenneth "Ken" B. Marshall, age 67, of Waleska, GA, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025, at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Ken was a mechanic by trade. He retired from the county fleet maintenance department, where he took pride in making sure county ambulances were fully repaired and safe to drive before sending them back on the road.
Ken loved the outdoors, learning to hunt and fish at an early age. His Grandpa Stanley taught him about the mountains and creeks that he knew so well. Like his Grandpa, Ken knew the name and terrain of each mountain, and understood and appreciated the family history associated with it. Ken would tell you that he found peace and solitude in the woods or on a lake, surrounded by God's creations.
Ken thoroughly enjoyed his hobbies of hunting and fishing. However, as he got older, he found much more joy and satisfaction in teaching others what he knew. It thrilled him to see someone else with their first big fish on the line, knowing that he had helped create that special memory.
In Ken's memory, please consider taking a child, an elderly or a disabled person fishing. You'll create a memory for that person, but also receive a bigger blessing for yourself.
