Juanita Wheeler

March 12, 1936 — June 3, 2024

Juanita Wheeler was beloved by all those blessed to have known her — a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother… a talented seamstress whose skilled hands and loving spirit touched the lives of many.

Juanita passed away on June 3, 2024, at the age of 88.

From the tender age of six, Juanita discovered her passion for sewing, a craft she perfected and cherished throughout her life. Like the intricate threads she wove into fabric, Juanita's life was a tapestry of love and dedication, binding together her family and friends with the strength of her compassion and the warmth of her kind and gentle presence. Her children, husband, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends were the vibrant patterns in her lifelong story, each one connected by her enduring love and care.

She was married to Bill Wheeler for 65 years, until his passing on June 7, 2019. He was 85. Together, they owned and operated several livestock markets in Georgia, including Middle Georgia Livestock, as well as markets in Eastanollee, GA., and Cleveland, GA.

Juanita's unwavering Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a member of Hightower Baptist Church, serving in the church choir for many years and was very active in WMU at the church as well.

She was an avid sports fan and attended countless sporting events over the years — not just in support of her family but also to support the children of friends and church members.
