Jorge Garcia passed away at his home in Canton, Georgia on Friday, 1/5/2024.
A loving Husband, Son, Father, Brother, and Friend. He was the epitome of a great man.
Honest, humble, and always jovial, he possessed an uncanny ability to make people smile. His laugh was infectious. Jorge was known for his ferocious work ethic. He never skirted a task or frowned at the thought of a difficult day of work. He loved hard labor and always accepted his duty with a laugh and his signature "Si senor" salute.
Jorge was a natural born leader and was dedicated to his family, his job, his friends and most importantly, to God. A spiritual picture, chain, or bible was always in his possession. His passing will be felt far and wide and the mere mention of his name will draw reflections of just how much he meant to so many people.
Poem written by Tye Hopkins:
The first time we met I admit my doubt-
how there would ever grow a love and respect so stout.
Never again on appearance will I judge a man for he's not measured by how tall he stands.
The parts that matter one cannot see-
never would I have known how big your heart and spirit would be. Dedication to work, family, and friends-
these lessons you taught will I cherish 'til the end. Farewell for now my compadre, my friend
soon shall we meet in heaven again.
Many tears shall fall on the lonely walk to the shop-
but always know you were the best employee of your boss Hop!
May you rest in peace, Pinto
