John "Wayne" King, age 80, of Talking Rock, GA, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at his residence. Wayne was an ordained Minister and attended Chamberlain Road Full Gospel in Lafayette, Ga. He loved singing and watching western movies.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery at 2:00 PM with honors by the United States Army.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at South Canton Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by: Parents: John and Tressie King, Daughter: Michelle King, Son: Michael King, Brothers: Kenneth and Don King, Step-Son: Jeff Armour
Survivors include:
Wife of 46 Years: Genelle King
Sons - Rodney, Richard and Robert King
Step-Daughter - Lisa West (Tim)
Daughter-in-law - Becky Fowler
Grandchildren - Kayla King, Chris King, Patrick King, Shawn King and Michael King
Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, friends, and other Family also survive.
