John "Barry" Fitzgerald

John "Barry" Fitzgerald, age 66, of Canton, GA passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. He graduated from Cherokee High School and went to Middle Georgia College and Reinhardt College. Barry played sports through high school and tennis in college. He was an avid sports Fan, especially the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Tech. His nickname from friends and family was "Buckwheat".

He was savid at North Canton Baptist Church and was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church in Canton.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM, on Monday, October 2, 2023, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Wheeler, and Rev. Lamar Frady officiating. Interment will follow at Southview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, October 1, 2023, and from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday, October 2, 2023 at South Canton Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by, Father: Robert Fitzgerald, Grandparents: Rev. Sam and Essie Allred and Grandparents: William and Catherine Fitzgerald, Cora and Charlie Klingman.

Brother - Billy (Charlotte) Fitzgerald

Brother - Bobby (Leigh) Fitzgerald

Brother - Benny (Pam) Fitzgerald

Uncle - John Mackin

Special Friend: Ms. Pat Lawson
