Joey Bates, age 66, of Canton, GA passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at his residence. He was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church and a long time member of The Canton Moose Lodge. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Liberty Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Hamilton, and Rev. Benny Clark officiating. The body will lie-in-state from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, March 20, 2022, and from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday, March 21, 2022 at South Canton Funeral Home.
