Joann Osborne

August 6, 1939 — October 5, 2024

Early Saturday morning, JoAnn Osborne, age 85, entered into the presence of her beloved Savior. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

JoAnn was born in Hayden, Colorado, on August 6, 1939, to her parents, Joseph and Ottie Lee Craig. She was blessed with a wonderful sister and friend, Maude Ellen Sparby, and a devoted brother, Clyde Craig.

During her childhood, the family lived in Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona. JoAnn graduated from Glendale High school in Glendale, Arizona, and she married her high school sweetheart, Bruce, at the age of 17. During their 67 years of marriage, they were blessed with two children, Dean and Julie.

Her life was characterized by love and commitment to her Lord, her family, and to many other people that God brought into her life. After living in Wyoming and then Minnesota, Bruce and JoAnn moved to Georgia. She was deeply involved in her grandchildren's lives and was affectionately called Grammie. JoAnn's professional career involved working for several government agencies. She worked most of her life and always excelled at the positions she held. After retiring, she took up the hobby of crocheting and was extremely talented. She has gifted many people with her thoughtfulness. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for the last 20 years and considered her church family as one of her many blessings.

She will be tenderly remembered for her kindness and generosity which she would attribute to the goodness and grace of God.

JoAnn was predeceased by her parents and her grandson, Andrew McInnis. She is survived by her husband Bruce, her children Dean (Kathleen) Osborne, Buckeye, AZ; Julie (Shaun) Sweeney, Canton, GA.
