Jesus Garcia-Santoyo, age 27, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026. He was a devoted son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend whom touched the lives of many who knew him. He was always willing to care for and help others and his compassion for those around him was a defining part of who he was. Above all, Jesus deeply loved his family and was deeply loved by them in return.
Jesus proudly served his country as an active-duty member of the United States Navy. His service was a meaningful part of his life and reflected the dedication, strength, and commitment he carried with him. He will be laid to rest with full military honors in recognition of his service to our nation.
Jesus will be remembered for his caring heart, devotion to his family, and the love he showed to those around him. His memory will remain cherished by his family, friends, fellow sailors, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Funeral Service is scheduled for 12:00 PM, Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Father Mark Starr officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, and from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at South Canton Funeral Home.
Survivors include:
Mother – Margarita Santoyo Alfaro
Step-Father – Jose L. Rodriguez
Sister – Mariela Garcia-Santoyo
Uncle – Oliver Santoyo, Sr.
Aunt – Tonia Santoyo
Cousins – Victor Santoyo, Kristian Santoyo, and Oliver Santoyo, Jr.
Numerous other friends and family also survive.
