Jennie B McLean
October 6, 1932 – June 25,2026
Jennie B McLean, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went to be home with Jesus at the age of 93. A lifelong resident of Georgia, she lived a life marked by grace, faith, and an unshakeable devotion to the people she loved.
Born in 1932, Jennie was ahead of her time. As the owner of Action Office Supply, she built and ran a successful business, earning the respect of her peers through hard work, determination, sharp wit, and an elegance that made what she did look effortless.
Those who knew her remember a woman of striking beauty, not only in appearance, but in spirit. She carried herself with a classic Southern charm, and she had a smile that could warm a room the moment she walked in. Her spunkiness kept everyone around her on their toes and laughing.
Her greatest joy was her family. She loved her husband Dudley with an unwavering devotion, and fiercely loved her daughter Linda, and poured her life into her granddaughters and great grandchildren. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation, and the quiet source of her strength, hope, and the remarkable grace with which she faced her final battle against illness. She did not face that battle with bitterness. She faced it the way she faced everything, with dignity, courage, faith, and with love for her people beside her.
She is survived by her husband Dudley McLean, daughter Linda Calhoun, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, 4 stepchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Mary Bailey, and her six siblings, Gordon Bailey, Jr., Sara Hefner, Hardeman Bailey, Harriet Kitchens, Georgia Bowen, and Robert Bailey, and son in law Doug Calhoun.
A service celebrating her life will be held at South Canton Funeral Home at 3147 Marietta Highway Canton, GA 30114, Tuesday June 30th, 2026, at 11:00am, with interment immediately following at Rolling Hills Memory Garden, Acworth, GA.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8pm Monday June 29, 2026, and from 10-11:00am, June 30, 2026, at South Canton Funeral Home.
