Jeanne Harriett Smith

Harriett Jeanne Smith, age 81, passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 13, 2026. She was born on November 5, 1944, and lived a life marked by love, strength, and devotion to her family.

Harriett was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Horace Henderson; her mother, Harriett Peck Henderson; and her brother Denny Edwin Henderson.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Smith Carter of Cumming, Georgia; her son, Scott

Alan Smith of Canton (Jillian), Georgia, and her three beloved grandchildren, Elodie Carter, Kaison Smith, and Ryder Smith.

Jeanne will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, love of Jesus, and the deep care she showed to those around her. Her presence brought comfort and joy, and her legacy lives on in the lives she touched. Her generous heart and spirit will be missed by everyone who knew her.

A private family ceremony will be held on Anna Maria Island, a place she spent visiting her parents’ home with family.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
