Jayne Kathleen Hughes

Jayne Kathleen Hughes of Waleska, Georgia passed away on January 3, 2024, at age 75. Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1948, Jayne grew up in Winter Park, Florida. She graduated with the first class of the University of Central Florida. After attending graduate school at Georgia State University, she made many notable achievements and obtained lofty titles within AIG's Aerospace division. When she wasn't working, Jayne aggressively pursued her hobbies - both financially and emotionally. She was an avid horse enthusiast, firearms instructor, math tutor and pilot. Regrettably, she could not cook. The fire department was sent to at least two of Jaynes' kitchens during her pursuit of culinary adequacy. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Waleska, son Shea of Waleska, and sister Susan of Atlanta. More than a wife, mother or sister, Jayne was a dear friend to many. She was a beacon of light and a bastion of positive influence for many people. Always offering advice, never passing judgement, and consistently supportive, she will be dearly missed. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness, generosity and goodwill.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Pastor Ken May officiating. Inurnment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 3:00 PM.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 23, 2024.
