Jane Rose Zundel

Jane Rose Zundel, age 88, of Canton, Georgia, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025, at Northside Hospital-Cherokee. Mrs. Zundel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Nana), great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Her first job in the 50s was a secretary at West Penn Power Company in Greensburg, PA where she was picked to model in the catalog showcasing the new facility in Cabin Hill forever immortalizing her beauty and youth.

She transitioned into the medical field as a monitor technician before becoming a skilled provider as a critical care nurse (having gotten her nursing degree at age 50). She retired from Sarasota Memorial Hospital (Sarasota, FL) as a cardiac nurse. She took a couple of years' sabbatical to follow her love of travel, venturing with her late husband, David Zundel, all over the United States in an RV from Maine to California to Alaska. She then returned to nursing for another 10 years in private nursing care.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Pastor Ken May officiating. Following the service, Mrs. Zundel's cremains will be placed in a Columbarium at the Georgia National Cemetery at 12:30 PM with her beloved husband, David Zundel.

She was preceded in death by: Husband: David Zundel, Son: Curtis Zundel, 6 Brothers: George, James, Floyd, Warren, Carl, and Don, and 2 Sisters: Marjorie Ketz and Ruth Stefano

Survivors Include: Children: David A. Zundel, Karl Zundel & Wife Theresa, Eric Zundel, and Joyce Zundel

Grandchildren: Carithium Zundel-Taylor, Curtis David Zundel, Justin Zundel, Ashley Stinnett & husband, Tyler, and Chloe Zundel

Great-grandchildren: Jade Strawser, Ryker Strawser, Lincoln Zundel, and Creeden Stinnett.
