James Black, 71 of Woodstock, GA passed away peacefully, with his wife Dana and Sister In Law, Tara Weddle by his side. Jim….Jimmy….Jimbo to many folks, was a very kind, loving man with a heart of gold. He would give you the shirt off his back!! However, it is doubtful that he would give you one of his lottery tickets or give up his breakfast at Waffle House. He was born and raised in Marietta, GA and enjoyed life to the fullest every single day. He never worried about a single thing! He was a proud and hard worker at East Coast Metal Distributors for 18 years, with many caring coworkers and friends there.
He was preceded in death by his Father Raymond Black, his Mother Frances Daniel Barnes and Stepfather Donald Barnes.
He is survived by his brother Stanley Black, a stepsister Donna Barnes Sina, nieces, nephews and lots of loving cousins.
As many of you know, Jim was a huge animal lover so, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Cherokee County Humane Society in Jim’s honor. At the present time, a funeral service will not be held. However, a celebration of life service will be planned for a future date.
