Harold "Hal" Edward Thomason, III

Harold "Hal" Edward Thomason, III, age 69, of Woodstock, GA passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026 at his residence.

Hal worked as a Service Manager with IBM for 30 years, retiring in 2012. He enjoyed the outdoors including golfing, hunting, and fishing, NASCAR races, weekend poker trips with the guys, cruising, and most of all, traveling with his family.

He was preceded in death by Grandparents Mable Cheek, Grace Thomason, and Harold Edward Thomason, Sr., and parents Vivian and Harold Edward Thomason, Jr.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 50 years Amanda Tripp Thomason, daughter Brandy McConnell (Quinn), son Christopher Thomason (Gabby), and grandchildren Kaylynn McConnell, Rylee McConnell, Easton McConnell, Hadleigh Thomason, and Lakynn Thomason.

Hal made an impact in so many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Judson Tripp officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.

The gentleman serving as pallbearers are as follows: Greg (Buzz) Barz, Mark Smith, Mark Bannister, Slater (Bucky) Marshall, Mark Zimmerman and
Doug Laube.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at South Canton Funeral Home.
