Glenn (Buddy) Curtis Barnhart, Sr.

Glenn (Buddy) Curtis Barnhart, Sr., age 91, of Canton, GA passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. He was born on May 21, 1933 in Waynesboro, PA. He was a Master Sergeant in the Air Force from January 15, 1952 until June 30, 1976. Buddy later retired from Wheeler High School on June 28, 1996.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, on Friday, December 20, 2024, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Pastor Robie Hembree officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at South Canton Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024.

He is survived by his loving spouse of 68 years and 11 months, Virginia Griffin Barnhart, sister Joann (Gene) Biesecker, and children G. Curtis Barnhart (Rita) and Anita Barnhart Evans (Lee).

Grandchildren, Amber Barnhart (Chase), Lee Evans (Jacklyn), Christina Schlake (Drew) and Nicole Smith (Cody).

Great grand-children, Tripp Evans, Kinzlee Hess, Eilen Hess, Reagan Schlake, Hollis Evans, Tinlee Curtis, Griffin Schlake, and Eli Smith.

Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Cherokee County Homeless Veteran's Program.
