Florene Tatum

On the evening of Wednesday, July 17, 2019, Florene Emory Tatum, age 90, took her Heavenly flight home. Florene was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church, a retiree from Central Soya and a longtime resident of Bells Ferry Road in Canton. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and looked forward to their visits. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Saturday, July 20, 2019, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Ware and Rev. Steve Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakdale Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, July 19, 2019, and from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the South Canton Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by, Husband: Marcus " Curly" Tatum, Son: Larry Tatum, Sisters: Mamie Satterfield and Inez Green, Father and Mother: Denney and Lola Emory, Daughter-In-Law: Rebecca Tatum, Son-In-Law: W. F. Bell Survivors include: Daughter - Elaine Bell, Buffington Community Son - Wayne Tatum, Canton Son - Johnny (Teresa) Tatum, Jasper Son - Ronnie Tatum, Canton Son - Garry (Bonnie) Tatum, Jasper 11 - Grandchildren 28 - Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
