Drema Haney Angel, age 80, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at her residence. She loved Jesus, our glorious Lord and Savior, and He was first in all things. She always taught us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path" (Proverbs 3:5-6). Her pride and joy came from being mom to M & M, and their needs were always placed above her own. But her three grandchildren, Courtney, Chandler, and Carlena, made her heart full and brought her the greatest joy. Grandmommy, as they called her, thought the three "C's" were perfect and could certainly do no wrong. Then the greats, as she lovingly called them, those children have hung the moon, and she always talked about how she knew they were the cutest children ever.
Drema was the person you called for a Bible scripture you could not find, and definitely everyone's first call for prayer. As so many have shared, Mom could"touch heaven," and we knew she had a direct line. She always reminded us that the Lord wants us to live in the present and be in the season of your life, content in the moment in time you had been given, for tomorrow is not promised to any man.
Mom loved all things tropical and the beach. She had shared that her dad was her hero, and she had her ultimate vacation a few years back in Hawaii to see where he was stationed and enjoy all the beautiful palm trees. Whenever we touch sand, hear the waves, and see the lush and green palm trees blowing in the salty breeze, she will forever be on our minds and living on in our hearts.
