Dorothy Mae Parker Hunter Hitchcock, age 82, passed away November 19, 2025 in Canton, Georgia after a lengthy battle with dementia. Dorothy was born August 25, 1943 in Portsmouth Virginia to William “ Bill” and Peggy Parker.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Delores “Logge” Yost.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Brian E. Hitchcock of 47 years, her sister Russelne “Bootsie” Simpson, her sons Richard Earl Hunter, Jr., of Tallahassee Florida, Brian Decker Hunter of Ball Ground Georgia and her stepdaughter Lisa and husband Walt Kelly from Cleveland, Tennessee. Dorothy was also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a very special cousin, as well as life long friend, Patsy Parker.

Dorothy was a cheerful faithful Christian. She donated her time and God given gifts through many organizations and volunteer opportunities during her life.
There will be no formal service. We invite you to please privately celebrate Dorothy's memory in your own ways.
