Watkins Funeral Home Historic West End Chapel. * MCMICKENS, Donnie Donnie Oliver McMickens, age 60, passed Thursday,September 19, 2019 Donnie was born March 24, 1959 and carried out his life as a football legend at Cherokee High School and The University of Georgia. He is survived by his father, Oliver McMickens;daughters, Aisha Stephens, Sonisha McMickens,Avrielle Edley, and Nicolette McClellan;grandchildren,Bre Stephens, Monique Motley, Davon Motley, Jr., Sania Ambrose, Khmarji Toy, Christien Kelson, and Kiara Williams; great-grand daughter, Madison Wright; sisters, Sue Ellen McMickens(Willie), Angelia Echols(Roy), Mary Ann Johnson(Bobby);brothers,David Lee McMickens,and Greg McMickens(Brinca);a very special niece, Christy Byrd(Patrick);and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends near and dear to his heart. Mr. McMickens was preceeded in death by his mother, Fannie McMickens and his sister,Glenda McMickens.
