Della Jewell Welchel, age 77, of Canton, GA passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Mrs. Welchel was a lifetime member of the VFW & a founding member of The Canton Moose. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Sunday, November 29, 2020, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Putnam officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, November 27, 2020, and from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Saturday, November 28, 2020, & from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour on Sunday at South Canton Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by, Husband- Odis Welchel; Parents- Paul & Hellen Sams; Daughter- Sheila Elizabeth Welchel; & Sister- Geraldine Davis Survivors include: Sons - Harold & Rebecca Welchel; & Ben & Amy Welchel Grandchildren - Jennifer Messer, Travis Welchel, Della Welchel, & Carl Welchel Great Grand Children - Jay & James Byrd Brothers & Sisters - Margarett Putnam, Beverly Petty, Sandra Hobgood, & James Sams Many other family & friends also survive.
