Dale Yommer

Dale E. Yommer, age 86 passed away peacefully at his home August 25th, 2019. He was born on June 5th, 1933 in Grantsville, MD to William and Mamie Yommer. He was a 1951 graduate of Grantsville High School. He was a member of the Holly Springs United Methodist Church and a member of the Thomas L. Scott, No. 739, Masonic Lodge, Roswell, Ga.. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved the outdoors, farming and gardening,was an avid reader and loved to be engaged with his family and friends. He leaves his wife, Peggy (Stancil) Yommer, eight children, Diane Marks, Dale (Christine) Yommer, Cathy (Yommer) Slaney, Dennis (LuJean) Yommer, Sherri (Yommer) Turner, Sean (Allison) Carnahan, Erin (Christian) Blevins, Kelly (Michael) Allen. He also leaves 15 Grand Children, 12 Great Grand Children and 2 Great Great Grand Children. He was proceeded in death be Vera Yommer (wife), Erma Yommer (wife) and Dale "DJ" Yommer (Grandson). His compassion for life and family along with his sense of humor will be missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held at the Holly Springs United Methodist Church, Holly Springs, Ga., Friday, August 30, at 1:00 PM South Canton Funeral Home, dedicated to the families we serve, 770-479-3377.
