Connie Helms

June 9, 1934 – Oct 23, 2024

Connie Helms, age 90, gained her angel wings on October 23, 2024. She was a devoted

Mother, Grandmother and Friend to all that loved her. She always put others needs above her

own. She was a hard worker from the time she was little girl, chopping wood and plowing fields

with the mules when she lived in SC.

She moved to Cherokee County, GA in 1990 right before the birth of her grandson, Travis. She

was an avid golfer in her younger days and enjoyed watching the squirrels whenever possible.

She worked at Wal-Mart in Canton for 25 years where she made many lifelong friends. But her

greatest joy was caring for Travis. He was her 2nd full time job and she devoted all her time and

energy to keeping up with him.

She is survived by her son, Cary Ward of Green Mountain, NC; daughter Tina Bozeman of

Canton, GA; grandchildren: Travis May, Christina Ward, Cary Ward, Kimberly Jackson, Kevin

Ward and Kelly Ward. She also has several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

Along with her beloved nieces. And her granddog Gracie.

She will be deeply missed and her memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends and all

those who were honored with the privilege of having known her.

A celebration of life will be held at South Canton Funeral Home on October 27, 2024 at 3PM

with the family receiving friends and family visitation from 1PM - 3PM. In lieu of flowers

donations can be made to the Cherokee County Humane Society.
