Charles W. Milton

Charles W Milton Sr passed away at age 96 on December 22, 2017 at his home in Woodstock, Ga. Funeral Services will be held at the Chapel in South Canton Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11am followed by interment at Crest Lawn Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his loving wife for over 70 years Sallie L Milton and parents Marvin Dewey and Myrtle Milton; Sister Mary Marshall: Survivors, sons Buddy (Sandi) Milton, Roswell and Doug (Frances) Milton, Woodstock: Grandchildren: Natalie (Jim) Whitehead, Canton: Kristen (Andrew) Beardsley, Hawaii: Brother Marvin (Carol) Milton, Cumming: Plus numerous Nieces and Nephews Charlie, as he was known, served over 3 years in the Navy during WWII and spent over 40 years in the management with Western Electric retiring in 1980. He was a great athlete, playing baseball for many years and later in life tuned his focus to becoming an avid golf player while being a member of the Canton Country Club. He played golf into his early 90’s. He was a long time member of the Moose Lodge in Canton where he and Sallie served many years. In addition, Charlie was a long time member of the Canton First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed attending Sunday morning service and other church related activities.
