Charles Eugene Bishop

Charles Eugene Bishop, age 84, of Canton, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Mr. Bishop was a dedicated truck driver with National Linen for 28 years; he then went on to start his own trucking business. Charles also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 3, 2025, in the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home, with Rev. Bobby McFarland and Rev. Nathan Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Ball Ground.

The family will receive friends at South Canton Funeral Home on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dallas (Rampley) Bishop; his parents, Fred and Lillie Belle (Tippens) Bishop; and his sister, Anne (Bishop) Hughes.

He is survived by his loving family:

Daughter: Pam (David) Bobo

Grandchildren: Steve (Christy) Arp, Stephanie (Jason) Tiller, Sara (Jay) McCloskey, and Rebekah Bobo

Sisters: Ruth (Bishop) Payne and Elaine (Bishop) Carver

Daughter: Rhonda (Charles) Arp-Brace

Grandchildren: Michael Brace and Ronita Brace
