Catherine Keating Hamm

Catherine Keating Hamm, 83, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away on August

25, 2025. After an extended illness, she went home peacefully to be with her

Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Catherine was born on February 16, 1942, in St. Augustine, Florida to the late

James William Keating and Myrtle Green. She married Edward Ray Hamm Sr. on

March 7, 1963, in St. Augustine, Florida. She worked in retail at Target for many

years and retired to care for her husband in his latter years. She also served her

local church in children’s ministry. Her greatest joy was spending time with her

family and caring for her grandchildren.

Catherine is survived by her children, Christine (Mark Secatore), April (Dean

McDaniel), Jill (Kent Smothers), Elizabeth (Mark Terry), and Edward Hamm Jr.

She was blessed with ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as

many nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved by those who knew her. She

will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on September 1 st from 5-7 PM and September 2 nd

from 10-11 AM at South Canton Funeral Home (3471 Marietta Hwy Canton,

Georgia).

A funeral service to celebrate Catherine's life will be held on September 2 nd at

11:00 AM at South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Cantrell, Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Georgia National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Woodstock

Preschool Department.
