Betty Sue West

Betty Sue West, age 88, of Canton, GA, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her residence. She was a lifetime resident of Cherokee County, and Betty was of the Baptist Faith.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Stancil officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, and from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at South Canton Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her husbands: Lloyd Gibson and Larry West, Son: Johnny Gibson, Brothers: Lawrence Abernathy, Junior Abernathy, and Richard Abernathy, Sisters: Willene Sheffield, Flora Setser, and Minnie Denton

Survivors include:

Daughter - Betty Fountain

Son - Henry Gibson

Son - David Gibson

Son - Daniel Gibson

Brother - Billy Abernathy

Sister - Doris Ellis

Sister - Helen Ragsdale

Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and other Family members also survive.
