Barbara Lynn Abernathy, age 54, of Newnan, GA passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Piedmont Newnan.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12:30 PM, on Friday, April 26, 2024, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30 PM.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Friday, April 26, 2024, at South Canton Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by, Parents: John and Nancy Hamrick and Grandson: Cayden Waldrop

Survivors include:

Husband - David Floyd Abernathy

Son - Stephen Scroggins

Son - Daniel Denny

Daughter - Stephanie Scroggins and Kayla

Step-children - Christopher Showalter, Heather Abernathy, Holly Abernathy and Haley Hartl

Grandchildren: Amelia, Kara, Annabelle, Rose, Lily, Aaron, Alex, Alayna, Damon, Joanie, Titan, Onyx, Amarah and Ayesha.

Several Friends and Family also survive.
