Audrey Joyce Morris Pitts

Audrey Joyce Morris Pitts, born August 11, 1934 in Canton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in Blairsville, Georgia.

Joyce was a third generation lifetime Canton resident, a spouse, a mother of three and decades-long member of Oakdale Baptist Church. She and Jack married in 1951 and throughout their life were active in their church, their community, their business community and their neighborhood. Joyce drove a Cherokee County school bus for 40+ years. Joyce was an accomplished golfer, who accumulated a bookcase full of trophies in her competitive years. Joyce and Jack traveled extensively, nationally and internationally, including many motor home treks throughout North America.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Audrey Morris, her husband of 72 years, Jack Pitts, brothers Willard, Byron, Edgar, Austin and Bobby Morris, her Son-In-Law, Joe Livingston and her beloved dogs, Helga, Bisket and Sugar.

Joyce is survived by her children; Sandy Pitts (Larry Holder), Tony (Marilyn) Pitts and Candy Livingston.

Grandchildren; Joe (Kristen) Livingston; A. J. Pitts (Troy Helmly), Cassie (Jeremy) McDonald; Jace Pitts; Hunter (Paige) Livingston; Addison Pitts; Asa (Emily) Pitts

Sister-In-Law, Linda Pratt, 8 Great Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family and her best friend forever, Doris Teague also survives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Ware and Rev. Kenny Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 16, 2024, at the South Canton Funeral Home.
