Annette Schimmelman

August 5, 1945 — July 5, 2021

Mary “Annette” Schimmelman, of Waleska, Ga., peacefully passed away, with family present, on July 5th, 2021 at the Grandview Nursing Center, from complications due to Parkinson’s disease. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Albert J. Schimmelman. Her children; Michael Schimmelman (Nannette Friend), Claire Sebring (Ron Sebring), and Greggory Schimmelman (Rachel Miller). Grandchildren; Brittnee Sebring, Cameron Sebring (Lindsey Noll Sebring), Keegan Schimmelman (Taylor Schimmelman), Madison Schimmelman, Emma Schimmelman (Huntington Sessler), Spencer Friend. Great Grand Child; Rylee Eric Renfro. Siblings; Mike Bowen, John Bowen, Patricia Weeg, Kathy Boehlke, Suanne Hoffman and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; John T. Bowen, Gwendolyn Bowen, Carolyn Bowen and brother; William Bowen. Annette retired after 30 years from nursing. After retirement she went to work for Y106 Radio Station entertaining many country music artists and the Nascar Nation. She created and directed the radio show, “In the Garage with Donnie Allison”. She was an accomplished member of the Civil Air Patrol and served as the Public Affairs Officer. She was a volunteer First Responder in Lake Arrowhead where she also served as the training officer for all new recruits. Annette was an avid golfer and tennis player. She spent many hours working in her garden and entertaining friends and family at her home and pool. She passionately loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit will live on in all of us. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to “Flowers for a Purpose” via The Kathy B Davis Foundation.
