Obituary for Wynell Carnes Foster (Carnes)

Mrs. Wynell Carnes Foster passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Cameron Hall Assisted Living in Canton, Ga. after a period of declining health. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Saturday, October 20, 2012, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Pastor Ken May officiating. Interment will follow at Big Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2012, and again on Saturday, commencing at 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at South Canton Funeral Home.



Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Foster, and by her parents Jake Carnes and Ethel Hamby Carnes.



She is survived by several cousins and by her close friend, Geneva Doss, who lovingly stood by her and provided support as a special friend and caregiver for many years.



Mrs. Foster retired from Southern Bell in June of 1980 with thirty-five years of service. She was a faithful and long-time member of Antioch Christian Church and will always be remembered by her friends and family for her beautiful smile and her kind and gentle spirit.



The family would like to express their appreciation to all of the residents, nurses, caregivers, and staff of Cameron Hall for all the love and support they provided to Ms. Wynell while she was a resident at Cameron Hall. The family would also like to express their appreciation to the staff at Agape Hospice for their outstanding care and support over the past few months and to Pastor Ken May and the members of Antioch Christian Church for all the prayers and visits.
