Waymon Goodman

Waymon Goodman, age 81, of Canton, GA passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Heritage Hospice. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Waymon was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He taught and coached in the Cherokee County School System for 32 years.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Mr. Doug Lanier officiating. Interment will follow at Big Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, August 4, 2023, and from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 5, 2023 at South Canton Funeral Home.

Survivors include:

Wife of 56 years - Rita Goodman

Daughters - Honor & Roddy Motes and Emily & Michael Herrin

Grandchildren - Caitie Yoes, Clay Coffey, & Lily Coffey

Great Granddaughter - Leah Yoes

Sisters - Margie Taylor & Rachel Street

Brother - Ricky Goodman

Several Nieces, Nephews, other family, and friends also survive.
