Obituary for Vernon C. Barnett

Vernon C. Barnett, age 80, of Canton, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011, at his residence. He was a retired police officer, a U.S. Navy Veteran and of Catholic faith.

Private Graveside Service wil be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011, at Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Barnett, Canton; daughters, Kathy Downey, Woodstock and LeeAnn Nalley, Flowery Branch; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
