Obituary for Sonny Roper

Sonny Roper, age 65, of Canton, GA passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Mr. Roper served his country as a United States Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran, was Second Vice President of the American Legion, Past Master of Hickory Flat Masonic Lodge #205, Past President of the Cherokee Shrine Club, a Member of the Patriot Guard, and a member of Chalcedonia Baptist Church.



Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Friday, September 28, 2012, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Pettit and Rev. Mike Ware officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 10:30 AM on Monday, October1, 2012.



The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Wednesday, September 26, 2012, and from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Thursday, September 27, 2012 , and until the funeral hour on Friday at South Canton Funeral Home.

Wife - Sue Roper, Canton, GA

Son - Scott Roper, Canton, GA

Daughter - Stacie & John Eubanks, White, GA

Sister - Betty Harmon, Temple, GA

Sister - Mary White, Dallas, GA

Sister - Mae Brewer, AL

Sister - Ann Price, Ball Ground, GA

Grandchild - Blake Eubanks, White, GA

Several Nieces and Nephews
