Obituary for Sara Elizabeth Reece (Bailey)

Sara Bailey Reece age 86, of Canton, GA, passed away at her home in Holly Springs on Wednesday, February 08, 2012. She was surrounded by family to the very end, just as she was all of her life.



Mrs. Reece was the oldest charter member of New Light Baptist Church. She and her husband, Clifford, were among the founding members of the church in 1954 and originally held services in the basement of their home on Pinecrest Road in Holly Springs.



Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at New Light Baptist Church with Rev. Monroe Gunter, Rev. Mike Mize and Rev. Mike Ware officiating. Interment will follow at Landmark Baptist Church Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, February 09, 2012, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, February 10, 2012 and until the funeral hour on Saturday at South Canton Funeral Home.



She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Clifford Reece.



Survivors include her son, Jerry (Linda) Reece, Marietta; brothers, Bob Bailey, Canton and Bill Bailey, Marietta; sister, Betty "Pete" Hardin, Kennesaw; grandchildren, Jill (Derek) White, Canton and Jason Reece, Waleska; great grandchild, Logan White; step grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Stewart, Dallas and Gena (John) Zagula, Marietta; step great grandchildren, Austin Stewart. Alex Zagula,

Bailey Stewart, Zack Stewart and Tyler Breitbach; many precious nieces and nephews.
