Obituary for Ruth Johnson (Kelley)

Ruth Kelley Johnson, age 83, of Canton (formerly of Albany), passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at CantonNursingCenter. Mrs. Johnson retired from Southern Bell with over 40 years of service. She was married to Aulton (Spud) Johnson of Albany for 63 years. She was a member of the Albany Women's Exchange Club, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church in Albany for 56 years where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Brown and Charles Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel starting at 11:00 am. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Mike & Wanda Johnson, Ball Ground, GA, Ron & Lisa Johnson, Canton, GA and Dennis Johnson, Albany, GA; brother, Landis Cameron, Stone Mountain, GA; sister, Mary Cornwell, Rydal, GA; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
