Obituary for Roy "Booge" Garland

Roy “Booge” Garland, age 76, of Waleska, GA, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. He was a surveying engineer with the Georgia Department of Transportation and was of Baptist faith.



Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Gayton and Rev. Walter Ingram officiating. Interment will follow at Salacoa Baptist Church Cemetery.



Mr. Garland was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Garland and sister, Alice DeBord. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Garland, Waleska; son & daughter-in-law, Buster & Sherry Jordan Garland, Waleska; daughters & sons-in-law, Joyce & Karl Davis and Malynda & Robbie Hawthorne, Waleska; sisters & brother-in-law, Minnie DeBord, Waleska, Nell Cochran, Cartersville and Kate & Troy Pope, Waleska; sister-in-law, Mary Densmore Garland, Waleska; grandchildren, Katie Huff, Lexington, GA, Karrie Davis, Kim Voyles, Jessa Hawthorne, Nolan Hawthorne, Jordan Garland, and Hunter Garland, all of Waleska; great grandchildren, Jake Huff, Lexington, GA and Kalia Voyles, Waleska.



The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 10:00 pm on Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Friday and until the funeral hour on Saturday.
