Obituary for Richard John Malone

Richard J Malone age 64, formerly of Sawkill, NY, and now of Ball Ground, GA passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Malone was Marine Corps Veteran, having served proudly in Vietnam. He then became a Police Officer for the Ulster County Sheriff's Office for many years prior to moving to Georgia.

He will be laid to rest with full military honors.

Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 am, on Friday, April 20 at the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Father Larry Niese officiating. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by parents, Peter Thomas and Virginia P. Malone.

Survivors include:
Wife - Ruth Malone, Ball Ground, GA
Sons - Thomas Richard Malone and wife Christine, Beacon, NY; Michael Todd Malone and wife Amberly, Nelson, Ga.
Grandchildren, Sean Thomas Malone; Eunice Evey Malone.
Step-Grandchildren, Emily & Claire Butcher.
Sisters, Colleen Heilmann, Florence, MS; Virginia Chambers, Kingston, NY.
Several brothers and sisters in law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
