Rhonda Rooks Moseley, 71, of Atlanta, passed away on March 20, 2023. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, to Emily and James Rooks. She attended Lakeside High School in Dekalb where she met her future husband, Grant Moseley. Rhonda graduated from West Georgia College with a Bachelor’s in Special Education. She taught special education, primarily in Dekalb County, for 32 years. A caring and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, Rhonda enjoyed quiet days at home reading, cooking, arts and crafts and spending time with friends and family.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, her parents, brother Keith Rooks, and brother-in-law Ronald Grant.

Rhonda is survived by brother Randall (Sheila) Rooks; sister-in-law Kimeran (Ken) Brewer, Denise (Bob) Herman, Lucia (David) Perry, and Janet (Mike) Brooks; sons Kurt and Eric; daughter-in-law Heather Kling; and 15 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Rhonda’s life will be held at Briarlake Baptist Church in Decatur at a future date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rhonda’s memory may be made to the Allegheny Valley School or the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
