Pauline Morris was born on July 30, 1933 in Henagar, Alabama and died on February 15, 2022 in Acworth, Georgia. She was married to Homer Morris since April 8, 1961 and leaves behind her husband and two sons, Kent (Melani) and Philip (Chris) plus three grandchildren: Justin Morris, Kendall Morris and Cayla Morris. She is survived by two of her sisters: Nina Sarratt (Charles) and Betty Shankles (Billy Ray, deceased).
Her race is finished and her work is done. Pauline Morris passed away after many years of fighting all manner of physical ailments with her trademark determination and resilience.
88 years granted her an incredible overview of life.
From her roots on Sand Mountain, Alabama, to an administration degree from Birmingham Business School, a Bible degree from Tennessee Temple and a BS in Nursing as an RN from Mercer University (then Georgia Baptist Hospital) her sharp mind found its home solving problems for Packard in Detroit (where she despised the snow) to Grady Hospital in Atlanta and later the mission field in Mexico.
Married for almost sixty-one years to Homer Morris, Mom and Dad always
provided an exemplary Christian home for Philip and Kent Morris in Laredo, TX, Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA; in each city consistently demonstrating what true love meant. In nursing homes around Atlanta, Pauline delivered excellent care to her patients, serving as director and later administrator. In the churches Homer pastored, she was always at his right hand, handling finances and providing sage advice.
Pauline leaves a legacy of love, fidelity and hard work, but mostly she leaves us all more caring, thoughtful and well fed. She is now freed of her pain, immersed in the love of Christ, relishing the homecoming with her family and waiting for Dad to arrive in due time.

Visitation will be Friday, February 18 from 7:00PM to 10:00PM at South Canton Funeral Home 3147 Marietta Highway Canton, GA 30114 with service on Saturday, February 19 at 10:00AM and internment afterward at Rolling Hills Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed through South Canton Florist 770-720-2953.
