Milton Farmer, 86, passed away on August 8, 2019 at his home in Canton. He was born February 15, 1933 in Dunwoody, Georgia to David G. and Gayle C. Farmer.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Edna Marie Farmer, three daughters: Pamela Farmer Stenger (Phil), Terri Kathleen Thompson (Clint) and Patricia Lynn Robertson (Mark). He is survived by three sons, Steven Thomas Farmer (Sherrie), Christopher Milton Farmer (Betty) and Carl William Farmer (Liz). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Patrick, Neilson, Roxanna, David, Adam, Matthew, Christopher, Alicia, Stephanie, Tiffiney, Andrew, Kelsie, Cody and Levi along with 12 great grandchildren. Mr. Farmer is preceded in death by his parents, David and Gayle Farmer and his brothers Bully and Buddy Farmer.
Mr. Farmer enlisted in the military in September, 1951 at the age of 18, and retired in September 1971. He served in the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions of the U.S. Army in Oklahoma, Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia and Arizona as well as abroad in Germany.
Mr. Farmer will receive family and friends on Wednesday August 14, 2019 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. followed by chapel services at the South Canton Funeral Home and Chapel in Canton. Interment will be Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
