Obituary for Maxine Grimes

Born in Dekalb Co., AL on Jan. 8, 1936

Maxine Grimes, age 73, of Canton, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. She was the former owner and operator of The Old Dixie Inn and Ken and Maxine's Restaurant, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was of Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Elder Edward Cagle officiating. Interment will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.
Survivors include sons, George Fossett, Dallas, James Fossett, Acworth, Reggie Fossett, Plainville, GA, Chris Smith, Jasper; daughter, Sheila Gibson, Rainsville, AL; brother, Gary Williams, Rainsville, AL; sister, Johnny Wells, Tyron, GA; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
