Obituary for Mary "Wilton" Dunn (Hobgood)

Mary "Wilton" Hobgood Dunn passed away on November 21, 2011 at Woodstock Nursing Home and Rehab Center.

She was born on March 29, 1924 to Carl and Clara King Hobgood and was a life-long resident of Cherokee County. She was a substitute teacher in Cherokee County for several years and also worked at Erb Plactics in Woodstock for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Millard Dunn, daughter, Brenda Walker, brother, Roy Hobgood and sister Lucille Hobgood.

She is survived by children, Leonard (Kathy) Dunn and Patricia Ross of Canton and Richard (Carolyn) Dunn of Daytona Beach, FL; sister, Helen (Clyde) Lance of Acworth; grandchildren, Shane (Mollie) Dunn, Trent (Tiffany) Dunn, Mandi Smith, Chad (Kristen) Cook, Haley Ross and Valerie (Chris) McInnish all of Canton and Jessica (Jeremy) Gravley of White as well as 12 great grandchildren. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include Willard Dunn, Jo (Wilton) Satterfield, Frankie (Forrest) Sawyer, Shirley (Harold) Westbrook, Lou (James) Coker of Canton and Bob (Jerie) Dunn of Bedford, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of South Canton Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Buckman will be in charge of services with interment at the Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 10:00 p.m. on Monday and until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
